TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The use of brackets and braces allowed for the reach of every angle, respecting the minimum distance from the structure at all times, even in correspondence with protrusions or niches.
Project: Restoration of external façade.
Venue: Pisa Cathedral, Italy
Scaffolding: Multidirectional SM8 Marcegaglia
Software: PON CAD
The most complex part concerned the apse: up to 18 meters, the multidirectional scaffolding was developed following the curvature of the structure; while, for the subsequent levels, it was placed a lattice beam with a span of 10 meters, which allowed the top of the façade to be reached.
Naturally, all designed with PON CAD software.
