Mec Cad Frequently Asked Questions

MEC CAD software are always provided in Italian, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German.
It is possible, on request or independently, to translate them into other languages.

To use the software as a plug-in you need:

  • AutoCAD 2012 version or newer;
  • BricsCAD 15 PRO or newer.

The Software are supplied in two solutions:

  • download solution with software protection;
  • pen drive solution (on request) with hardware protection.

The pen drive solution allows the user to install the software on different computers.
The license will only work where the device has been moved.

Yes, all the software come with a generic database. Many other libraries/database are available on request.
Some manufacturers, who are MEC CAD customers, make their scaffolding libraries/database available.

Yes, two methods are possible:

  • MEC CAD can develop the library on behalf of the requesting company;
  • The adoption of open formats allows the client to maintain and develop the libraries autonomously (training courses are available to learn how to do this).

Yes, but in order to do that an additional module is required. Two possible solutions:

  • To use PON CAD STRUCT: this module has been specifically designed for the analysis of scaffolding structures and can be adapted to any national law/regulation and type of material. Thanks to the strong integration it allows the drastic reduction of working time;
  • Do you already have a software for structural analysis? PON CAD generates a very light file in DXF format that can be easily imported into the structural analysis software already used by the customer.

MEC CAD always provides training packages that include:

  • Access to the e-learning platform: material and tutorials available 24h, always included;
  • On-line training with one of our dedicated technicians: based on your needs;
  • Training at our headquarters or at client’s;
  • Training for the modification and maintenance of the libraries/database: to guarantee the autonomy in the management of your database.
